Bathinda Jalandhar Councillor Anita Dhir passes away: BJP councillor Anita Dhir (53) from Ward 19 passed away today following a prolonged illness. Suffering from cancer, she had been admitted to Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Hospital, New Delhi, since past one month where she died today. Her body would be brought back home tomorrow morning. Anita was the first-time councillor. She is survived by her husband Satish Dhir, sons Nitin and Varun and daughter
Pooja. Two bodies found: Body of an unidentified man was found dumped in a gunny bag along railway crossing adjacent to DAV College this morning. Passersby noticed the body as stench emitting from it filled the air.
The police said the assailants had dumped the body in the gunny bag after killing the man. Meanwhile, the Railway police has also found a body of an unidentified person from a railway line crossing at Nagra
village. The Railway police has sent the body to the morgue at local Civil Hospital and initiated further investigations.
