Two held: The Kharar police arrested two persons for theft from a check point near the Mill road, Landran on Monday. The accused - Satpal and Suraj Kumar - both residents of Rampur district, UP, admitted to having committed thefts in Dashmesh Nagar and Sunny Enclave. A sum of Rs 90,000 and other valuables were recovered from their possession. With their arrest, eight cases of theft had been solved, the police added. Car stolen: Rashpal Singh, a resident of Sector 60 (3-B1), reported to the police that his Maruti Zen car (PB 24 8243) was stolen from his house in 3B1 on the intervening night of September 19 and 20. A case has been registered at the Mator police station and the police is investigating the case.

Snatching: Two motorcycle-borne youths snatched Rs 50,000 from a man on the Nicholson road, near Sadar
Bazar, here on Monday. The victim, Sunil Kumar, who works with Anand Transport Company in Halwai Bazaar, was going from HDFC Bank branch to his office when the youths snatched the money from him and sped away. Blood camp: A blood donation camp was organised by the Botony Department of Kurukshetra University on September 22 to commemorate martyrdom day.
As many as 66 units of blood were donated in the camp organised with the cooperation of the Red Cross Society.
