The state receives funds under the food security mission for the distribution of seeds and micro-nutrients. Last year, the state had received Rs 53 crore for the wheat crop and Rs 11 crore for pulses. It was able to spend Rs 46.51 crore and Rs 8.4 crore out of this amount under both heads. This year its allocation for wheat has been reduced to Rs 39 crore and for pulses to Rs 5.7
