Looking for some love tips? Dial cops Hyderabad, September 17 In a novel initiative to check crime, particularly the domestic violence, the state police has donned the role of a love guru, dishing out tips for young couples on how to make their relationships work. On its official website, the police department has posted a series of Dos and Don’ts for lovers as well as married couples. In a section, titled “Ladies Special”, the website deals with issues like building healthy relationships, avoiding extramarital affairs, choosing partners online, NRI marriages, domestic violence, “signs of a cheating husband”, tips for healthy married life, eve teasing and marital problems. The website reads like a work of a motivational guru, containing several guidelines to improve relationships and thereby help reduce the crime rate. Sample these: “Making love often will keep the passion alive and it is an essential factor of a healthy relationship. To keep your relationship healthy, you have to feel passionately about your partner and learn to keep the flame of passion alive for a long and enduring relationship.” Extramarital affairs, it says, are one of the main reasons for growing crime in society. And for young lovers looking for a long-term relationship, here is an advice: “Always remember that growing friendship means not getting sexually involved. Don’t mistake raging hormones for love. They are two entirely different things. Talk with your parents and well- wishers before you begin friendship.” The website also advises young lovers to make “discreet” verification of the partner’s background before starting friendship. In a section dedicated to the problems in NRI marriages, the girls are advised to preserve copies of all the documents, correspondence, telephone bills, financial transactions, receipts of material spent on the alliance, photographs of engagement ceremony and other personal records. “It is important that you be careful about what you write to him in your mails. Do not reveal too many personal details or anything that can be used as evidence against you later, if he has a twisted mind,” it says. The couples must spend quality time together, express love and concern for each other and go on a vacation at least once a year for a happy and healthy married life. “Never quarrel in the bedroom. All insults and injuries caused to the relationship during the day time must be medicated and healed on the bed,” is another gem of an advice. It has also come up with tips to identify the “signs of a cheating husband". Here is a checklist for married women: Has your husband become short-tempered with you or your children? Is he avoiding you and going out too often? Is his behavior suspicious while talking over cellphone? Does he keep deleting messages and call lists from his phone? Has he become docile when arguments arise? “Men do not like confrontation when they are cheating, they will do whatever it takes to avoid any type of heated confrontation,” says the portal.
