Man electrocuted:
One person was electrocuted at Kota village in Chamba district yesterday, according to a police report received here
today. The report stated that the deceased was identified as Joginder Kumar and the mishap took place when he was walking on a pathway alongside the agriculture fields where someone had laid an electricity wire to protect crops from wild
animals. A case under Section 304 of the IPC had been registered at the Chamba police station.

135 donate blood:
The local branch of Sant Nirankari Mission today organised a blood donation camp in its bhavan in which 135 volunteers donated blood. A team of doctors from Dr Rajendra Prasad Medical College, Tanda, supervised the
camp. Certificates on behalf of the National AIDS Control Society were given to donors in recognition of their services.

SFI opposes hike in bus fares: The Student Federation of India (SFI) of the DAV College Student Union has opposed the proposed raise in bus fares.
District general secretary Lekhraj and newly elected secretary Charu Shrivastav said the hike would amount to an additional burden on the public, and students would go on mass protest if these fares
were announced.
