Six jhuggis gutted in fire

Employees of Shakti Bhavan had a narrow escape when a gas cylinder exploded in its kitchen here today. The incident occurred around 9.45 am. At the time of the incident, more than 30 employees were present. However, employees tried to douse the flames with the help of water for about half an hour. Fortunately, no loss of life was reported.

Shemrock school celebrates World Forest Day
Mohali, February 24
Students of the Green Brigade of Shemrock Senior School, Sector 69, Mohali, organised a rally here today to celebrate the World Forest Day. Dressed as trees and animals, Shemrockites started from Sector 69, moved to Sector 70 and further to Phase 7 intersection. At the intersection, students stood for half an hour with placards held high sensitising people on eco friendly steps to keep the city clean and green.
