Products made by women must be sold in open market at maximum price, he said. He expressed his displeasure over the lack of knowledge among women about the new schemes launched by the state and Central government to help them.

Works of phulkari need a lot of labour and hard work and organisers must make arrangements so that the poor women working in these workshops could sell their handmade products in the open market.

He also cited the detail report by the Additional Deputy Commissioner who had inquired into this matter. He also referred to the conduct of the accused after the FIR was registered against him.
