Temperature: The maximum temperatures fell appreciably in Jammu and Kashmir and changed little elsewhere. They were appreciably above normal in east Rajasthan, above normal in Himachal Pradesh and west Rajasthan, below normal in Jammu and Kashmir and normal in the rest of the region.
The highest maximum temperature in the region was 36.5C recorded at Jaisalmer (Rajasthan).
The minimum temperatures fell in Himachal Pradesh and changed little elsewhere. They were appreciably above normal in Haryana and west Rajasthan, above normal in Punjab and east Rajasthan and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest minimum temperature in the plains was 14.0C recorded at Adampur (Punjab) and Sarsawa (Uttar Pradesh).
