Now, rituals can be performed at city’s new lake

On October 29, Chandigarh will get its third lake in Sector 42, here. In fact, taking care of the religious sentiments of the people, the Chandigarh Administration had developed this lake for performing religious rituals besides giving a place for relaxation to the residents of the southern sectors.

Youth hangs himself to death

Baltana, here allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan of his house last night. The victim, Ajay Kumar, was under depression and not keeping well from past two months.
Minor scuffle between students reaches police

A scuffle between two students of DAV, Sector 8, today reached the police with one of them filing a DDR against the other at the Sector 3 police station. A heated argument on sports field took an ugly turn with both the boys coming to blows and one of them, a resident of Indira colony, Manimajra, receiving head injuries.
