IMA expresses concern over genetic crops

A seminar on “Safety and security of health and food in the era of genetically modified foods” organised by the Indian Medical Association, Ludhiana, in association with Environmental Health Action Group, an associate of Kheti Virasat Mission at IMA House, expressed concern at the health risk of the genetically modified (GM) crops which are now trying to be introduced in our country.
Forum gets regular chief after 9 months

Germany to Kerala by road

A couple from Germany wanted to meet their friend in Kerala and they chose an adventurous way of doing it. Out on Indian roads all the way from Germany in their truck, the couple reached the city today.

Karva Chauth celebrated with fervour

Karva Chauth was celebrated in a traditional way at Lodhi club. There were mehndi and bangle stalls for the women members of the club, where they got mehndi applied and got bangles matching with their outfits. Dressed in their best the members enjoyed the evening till late.

Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal’s wife Surinder Kaur Badal today called for promotion of sports in schools. She, along with Punjab minister for education Dr Upenderjit Kaur and chief Parliamentary secretary Mohinder Kaur Josh, was in town today to give cash awards to the winners of the 52nd and 53rd National School Games at a function organised by the Punjab education department at Guru Nanak Public School. 110 trainees awarded certificates
