The department of commerce and computer of the local Prem Chand Markanda SD College for Women organised a week-long personality development programme in association with NIIT. As many as 100 students participated in the workshop. The students were taught fundamentals of effective speaking, tips on self-grooming, communicative language skills and much more.

The CBSE north zone-II (u-14 and u-19) handball championship, 2008, was organised at Police DAV Public School, PAP Campus, from October 10 to 13, in which 49 schools and approximately 1,000 students, both boys and girls of took part.
