They were markedly above normal in west Rajasthan, appreciably above normal in Jammu and Kashmir and east Rajashtan, above normal in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, east Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 41.3° C recorded at Jaisalmer (Rajasthan). The minimum temperatures were markedly above normal in Haryana, appreciably above normal in the rest of the region except Uttarakhand where they were above normal. The lowest temperature in the plains was 20.8° C recorded at Churu (Rajasthan). Forecast valid until the morning of October 7: Rain/thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Uttarakhand. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region. After 24 hours isolated rain/thundershowers are likely in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttarakhand. Outlook for the subsequent two days: Isolated to scattered rainfall activity may continue in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttarakhand. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.
