Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers occurred at many places in Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Haryana, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region.

The chief amounts of rainfall in cm were: Haryana: Jind and Samalkha 4 each, Assandh, Gannuar and Kharkhoda 3 each, Gohana 2 and Julana Israna, Pehowa, Kaithal and Sonipath 1 each; Himachal Pradesh; Ghamroor 6, Una 4, Nadaun 3, Solan and Berthin 2 each and Shimla, Sundernagar, Kahu and Mandi 1 each; Punjab: Ludhiana 7, Zira 5, Nangal Dam 3, Amritsar, Halwara, Patti, Ferozepur, Jalalabad and Phillaur 2 each and Patiala, Samrala, Jagron, Balachour, Anandpur Sahib, Ropar, Phagwara and Barnala 1 each, West Uttar Pradesh: Narora 2 and Uttarakhand : Radraprayag 2 and Bausan 1.

Forecast valid until the morning of September 2: Rain/thundershower are likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and Uttarkhand and at isolated places in north Haryana and east Uttar Pradesh. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: Isolated to scattered rainfall activity is likely to continue in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttarakhand.

Farmers weather bulletin for Delhi: Forecast valid until the morning of September 2: Light rain is likely at a few places.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: No large change.
