Spurt in Thefts
Professor’s house burgled
Panchkula, May 29
Prof S.K. Sharma points at the area from where solar panels were removed by thieves at his house in Sector 16 in Panchkula on Wednesday night. Thieves struck last night at the house of a former member of National Security Advisory Board, Prof S.K. Sharma, barely 50 yards from the Sector 16 police post, and decamped with solar voltaic panels fixed on the terrace.

Hopes soar with ‘Vibhu’
Pinjore, May 29
Vibhu is the first vulture born in captivity four months ago at the Vulture Conservation Breeding Centre, Pinjore. Close on the heels of the London-based Royal Society for the Protection of Birds getting a 20,000 pound bid for the name of a vulture chick born at the Vulture Conservation Breeding Centre, Pinjore, the centre has another reason to cheer.

Vibhu is the first vulture born in captivity four months ago at the Vulture Conservation Breeding Centre, Pinjore.
