Tardy arrangements irk polling staff

Officials carry election material on the eve of Panchayat Samities polls slated for Monday. Polling staff at gover- nment elementary, high and senior secondary schools in Phullanwal, Sunet, Gill, Dhandra and various adjoining villages remained without work till late this evening owing to delay in the arrival of ballot papers and voters’ lists.

Congress candidate arrested
Mandi Ahmedgarh, May 25
The Sudhar police arrested five persons, including a Congress candidate for panchayat elections at Nangal Kalan village, for allegedly trying to lure voters with cash and eatables on the complaint of SAD candidate Nirbhai Singh.

Being a sportsperson, she has a number of medals and certificates in her kitty. She won accolades in badminton and karate championships.
