Son hacks father for immortality
New Delhi, March 14 Hirender lived with his father Kartar Singh, 72, a retired railway safai karamchari while his mother lived with his brother in another house close by. Hirender has confessed to the crime and said that some ‘divine power’ had ordered him to commit the crime. The crime scene sent shivers down the people who visited the tiny room where Kartar Singh was killed. His head was cut and kept in a temple built in the house while the body was hacked to countless pieces including the fingers, giving the police officials a nightmarish experience. “In my entire career of 23 years in forces, I have not seen a dead body in such condition”, told a police official. Hirender was already in police custody when the news of murder reached the PCR through some residents of the area today morning. Hirender, who had committed murder sometime yesterday evening had later ventured out of the house and tried breaking the idols in the nearby Valmiki temple. He then claimed that Lord Shiva had entered his soul and is ordering him to break the temple. Police who reached the spot later had arrested Hirender, unaware that the youth had already killed his father. Hirender’s mother told that her son was always different from other siblings and he often told about ‘divine interventions’. In a state of shock, the lady could not but curse his son. Contrary to this, the neighbours maintained that he was a mental case and should have been long sent to a mental asylum. “He did not have a job and remained in the state of frustration always. He is just playing up the ‘divine’ excuse, but the reality is that he is mentally retarded”, told a neighbour. Others alleged that the youth always misbehaved with his father who pestered him to find a job and probably killed him to shut him up for ever.
