Rainfall: Weather was dry over the region.

Temperature: The minimum temperatures fell in east Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and changed little elsewhere.

They were largely below normal in Jammu and Kashmir, markedly below normal in Haryana, Punjab and Rajasthan and appreciably below normal in the rest of the region. The lowest minimum temperature in the plains was 1.6 °C recorded at Amritsar.

Forecast valid until the morning of February 12, 2008: Weather will be mainly dry in the region.

Low temperatures warning: Ground frost is likely at a few places in Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh during the next two nights.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: Mainly dry weather. Cold wave conditions are likely to continue over some parts of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of February 12, 2008: Mainly clear sky. Cold winds likely during day. The minimum temperature will be around 5 °C.
