The lecture was organised by the Mental Health Forum, Servants of the People Society. Dr Wig said the pursuit of happiness had remained the major concern of mankind throughout history.

Chain snatchers strike at three places
Chandigarh, February 9
Chain snatchers struck at three different places in the city today, snatching gold chains, injuring people and creating terror. Two motorcycle-borne youths riding a bike snatched the gold chain of Laxmi Devi in Sector 27.

Sec-18 resident booked for fraud

The police has booked a Sector-18 resident on charges of duping a man of Rs 2 lakh. Jaspal Singh of Sector 22 reported to the police that Gurinder Singh Cheema of Sector 18 had duped him of Rs 2 lakh on the pretext of delivering him household items.

A local court today remanded two accused in the ASI recruitment paper leak scam in police custody for one day. They have been booked on the charges of cheating and criminal conspiracy.

The local police yesterday arrested four persons — Varinder, Gurdeep, Satpal and Ranjeet — for their alleged involvement in theft at Attawa on February 4. According to police station-36 SHO Davinder Sharma, the police arrested them following a tip-off.
