Transfer tehsildar till probe is over: SAD

Accusing naib tehsildar, Koomkalan, of exploiting his official position to harass activist of his party, Sukhdev Singh, a local SAD leader, has urged the district administration to either transfer the official or suspend him till investigations into allegations and counter-allegations levelled by the two were completed.

Liquor seized
Jagraon, January 20
Ranjit Singh of Parjian Beharipur was arrested on Sunday from Galib Ramsingh for possessing 22,500 ml of illicit liquor. A case was registered under the Excise Act against the accused.

250 examined at dental check-up camp
Ludhiana, January 20
Over 250 patients, including 100 children, were examined at a free dental check up and alternative systems camp organised by Bharat Vikas Parishad (Tagore branch) at Radhakrishan temple in Railway Colony numbers 10 and 11 here today. The patients were also given free medicines and follow up advice.
