No plan to waive stamp duty: CM

A spokesman for the Punjab Chief Minister today clarified that there was no immediate plan to reduce or waive the stamp duty. The spokesman said the Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal had been quoted out of context in a few newspapers in this regard. The Chief Minister had merely stated that reducing stamp duty ordinarily results in more revenue collection.
