‘Operation Sadbhavna’ concludes

For 36 students from various schools located in the remote areas of Kathua and Samba regions of Jammu and Kashmir it was a dream come true when they visited various historical places in Amritsar, Ajmer, Jaipur, Agra, Delhi and Chandigarh during an educational tour organised by 9th Garhwal Rifles under “Operation Sadbhavna”. The students belonged to the Mansar, Bani and Machhedi areas.

Lakhowal appointed chairman of national body

Ajmer Singh Lakhowal, chairman, Punjab Mandi Board, and president, Bhartiya Kisan Union, Punjab, has been appointed chairman of the National Council of State Agricultural Marketing Boards. A meeting of the heads of marketing boards of 14 states was held at Chandigarh yesterday which appointed Lakhowal as its chairman by consensus for a period of two years.
