Doc honoured for restoring boy’s eyesight
Amloh, November 17 The doctor treated Jagdeep Singh, son of Ramesh Singh, a Class 10 student of Sant Farid Public School, with ayurvedic medicines. On August 5, Jagdeep was going to his village along with his brother Mandeep on a bicycle after the school hours and was hit by a truck. He received serious injuries. He was taken to the Government Medical College and Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh, for treatment. During treatment, it was found that he had lost eyesight in the right eye and was referred to the PGI there. Ramesh Singh, father of the boy, said his son got treatment for two months at a private hospital in Chandigarh as well. But seeing no headway, he brought his son back to Khanora, his native village, near here. He finally took his son to Dr Raghubir Shukla, an ayurvedic doctor, here. Jagdeep was treated with ayurvedic medicines and after a week he showed improvement and in another two weeks he regained his eyesight. When contacted, Dr Shukla said the child’s parents came to him to try the ayurveda therapy. The patient was given 14 doses of herbo-mineral medicines for one week, which proved fruitful, and thereafter he regained normal vision. |
