Education officer, superintendent suspended

Kangra, November 4
The Kangra Block Primary Education Officer (BPEO) and the office superintendent were placed under suspension yesterday following the detection of certain alleged irregularities in the office records. According to official sources, the SDM, Kangra, Ms Sudha Devi, and the Deputy Director of Education, Mr O.C. Diman, conducted a raid on the office of the Bock Primary Education here a few days back and seized some official documents. They submitted a report to the Director of Education. The sources said the Director of Education after going through the report decided to place under suspension the BPEO, Ms Tripta Devi, and the office superintendent, Mr Mishra. Mr Diman, Deputy Director Primary Education, said he received directions from the Director of Education regarding the suspension of the two officers yesterday. Earlier the SDM told The Tribune that the inspection of the office was a routine affair. However, she said the report had been submitted to the higher authorities for appropriate action.
