Samrala lads emerge kabaddi champs

Samrala, August 28
Mr Sawarn Singh, Principal of the local Government Senior Secondary School for Boys, told the Press that the inter-zone tournament of Ludhiana district was going on at the Government Model Senior Secondary School, PAU, Ludhiana.

The tournament started from August 22. So far, Kabaddi contests have been held in the u-17 and the u-19 age groups.

In the contests, Kabaddi teams of the Government Senior Secondary School, Samrala, stood first.

In the u-17 category, Khanna’s zonal team got the second position and in the u-19 category, Gujjaran zonal team got the second position.

The Principal further informed that finals were very tough and interesting in which the performance of players was very good. The guidance of Mr Bikramjit Bhan and Mr Avninder Singh, PTI, was also appriciable.

Other teachers of the school like Mr Jodha Singh, Mr Raghubir Singh, Senior Attendent, Mr Brij Bhushan, attendant, and Mr Vinod Rawal also contributed a lot.

The players were also felicitated at a school function. The parents and teachers appreciated their achievement.
