Vanamahotsava today: The 57th state-level “vanamahotsava” will be celebrated at Bhiwani on Saturday. This was disclosed by the Deputy Conservator of Forests, Bhiwani, Mr Vivek Saxena, here on Wednesday. He said Minister of State for Forest and Tourism, Mrs Kiran Chaudhary, would be the chief guest.

Effigy burnt: Condemning the recent serial bomb blast in Mumbai and Srinagar activists of the Bajrang Dal burnt the effigy of terrorism at Mahabir Chowk here on Thursday. The activists expressed solidarity with the blast victims and condemned the henious act.

Women attacked: A woman and her husband injured two women of their village under the Rilwasar police post on Wednesday. Savitri and Chabe Ram armed with sharp-edged weapons, picked up stones and attached the women, Tara Devi and Arti, as they picked chillies on their way home.
