A highly decomposed nude body of an unidentified woman in her thirties was recovered under mysterious circumstances, this morning, from the jungle area behind the railway station here.

Suicide bid by youth
Chandigarh, June 11
A 26-year-old unemployed resident of Charan Singh Colony here tried to end his life by hanging himself at his residence, tonight. He was shifted to the Sector 16 General Hospital, where his condition is said to be out of danger, said the police. in another incident, the local police today arrested a proclaimed offender.

Jawan commits ‘suicide’
Chandigarh, June 11
The body of a 29-year-old Jawan of Second Rajputana Battalion was found hanging from a tree near Vikas Nagar in Manimajra this morning. The reason behind the death is yet to be ascertained as no suicide note was found.

Bheora’s counsel seeks sealing of case diaries

The defence counsel for the BKI India Operations chief, Paramjit Singh Bheora, has moved an application in the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM), Mr Y.S. Rathore, demanding the sealing of his case diaries and that of another suspect, H.P. Singh, as they feared tampering of the records by the investing agency.
