2 Panipat residents arrested in car purchase scam
300 luxury vehicles sold without paying tax

In one of the major car purchase scams occurring in the country, two brothers from Panipat have cleverly bought and sold at least 300 luxury cars, without paying the sale tax, by impersonating as car dealers and furnishing false C-forms of the Central and state Excise Department.

A tragedy was averted today when more than 40 passengers trapped in a private bus that hit the wall of a marriage palace on the local Dhulkot Road and overturned were rescued by the staff of the palace with the help of passers by and residents of nearby Ghungrana village.
