Past 24 hours change: The maximum temperatures fell markedly in Himachal Pradesh, fell appreciably in Jammu and Kashmir, fell in east Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere. Departure: They were above normal in Haryana and Uttaranchal, markedly below normal in Himachal Pradesh, appreciably below normal in Jammu and Kashmir and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 41.7°C recorded at Dholpur (Rajasthan). Forecast valid until the morning of April 19:
Rain/thundershowers will occur at many places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and at a few places in Punjab and Uttaranchal.
