Rainfall: Weather was dry over the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: The maximum temperatures rose largely in Jammu and Kashmir, rose markedly in Himachal Pradesh, rose in Punjab and east Uttar Pradesh, fell appreciably in east Rajasthan and changed little elsewhere.

Departure: They were below normal in Haryana and Punjab, above normal in Himachal Pradesh and east Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 37.5°C recorded at Varanasi AP (Uttar Pradesh).

Past 24 hours change: The minimum temperatures fell in east Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere.

Departure: They were normal over the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 11°C recorded at Amritsar (Punjab).

Forecast valid until the morning of March 24: Rain/snow is likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of March 24: Mainly clear sky. Strong surface winds likely during day time. The maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 31°C and 16°C respectively.
