Rainfall: Rain, snow has occurred at many places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Uttaranchal. Rain, thundershowers have occurred at isolated places in Haryana, Punjab, east Rajasthan and east Uttar Pradesh. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of precipitation in cm are: Himachal Pradesh: Dhundhi 5, Hamirpur 4, Kahu, Kasol, Pandoh, Solangnala, Shimla and Sundernagar 2 each and Bhuntar and Sunibhaji 1 each, Jammu and Kashmir: Batote 3, Banihal 2 and Jammu and Quazigund 1 each, Punjab: Nangal 2 and Uttaranchal: Mukteshwar 1.

Past 24 hours change: The maximum temperatures rose markedly in Haryana and Punjab, rose appreciably in Jammu and Kashmir and west Rajasthan, fell markedly in east Uttar Pradesh, fell in Himachal Pradesh and change little elsewhere.

They were markedly below normal in Himachal Pradesh and east Uttar Pradesh, appreciably below normal in Haryana, Punjab, west Rajasthan, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, below normal in east Rajasthan and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 31.6ºC recorded at Jhalawar (Rajasthan).
