Non-surgical face lifting methods catching on: expert
Chandigarh, March 4 “We either use contour threads to lift sagging muscles or lift them with stainless steel wires after administering local anesthesia to the client. Since these do not involve any loss of working hours, they are called lunch break procedures,” he stated. Dr Malla added: “New minimal invasive non-surgical face lift involves passing of contour threads under the skin to lift sagging, aged tissues under local anesthesia, which is half an hour procedure. The results can be observed within five to seven days. The affect lasts for five to seven years.” Dr Malla said mesotherapy, another technique, involved multiple drug delivery for localised obese areas or fat pockets in order to dissolve body fat pocket in that region or for rejuvenation of face. He said the conventional surgery of the face, forehead or neck involved heavy expenditure on hospitalisation. |

Little scope for spinners in Mohali
Chandigarh, March 4 "English players have been doing exceptionally well in all departments of the game in Nagpur but I still rate the Indian team above them for the coming matches", said Alam, Punjab Ranji coach. Alam was supervising the 10-day Ranji camp at St Johns' High School, Sector 26, started here today. Alam was of the view that the Indians should prepare pitches which cater to the needs of spinners to get the upper hand. "This is a known fact that England batsmen are not technically sound against spin attack but Harbhajan and Kumble could not extract much from the seamer-friendly wicket till the end of the fourth day of the match", opined Alam. In Mohali also, there would be a little scope for the spinners as the pitch here assisted fast bowlers and did not offer much turn, felt Alam. The second test is scheduled to start from March 9 to 13 at PCA stadium here. Alam seemed satisfied as the Punjab team had made it to the Ranji one-day knockout matches after remaining on the top in the North Zone. Haryana was the other team, which qualified for the next leg. "Ours is a bunch of experienced and young players, which is capable enough to face any tough challenge. Except win, there is no other choice for any team in the coming matches so we are just focusing on high target", said Alam confidently. Punjab will take on Bengal in their first match on March 16 at Kanpur. |
