Departure: They were largely above normal in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, markedly above normal in Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Rajasthan, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and appreciably above normal in east Uttar Pradesh. The lowest temperature in the plains was 12.4°C recorded at Sarsawa (Uttar Pradesh).
