Rainfall: Weather was dry over the region. Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: The minimum temperatures rose in west Rajasthan and changed a little elsewhere. Departure: This was appreciably above normal in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan and Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 5.4C recorded at Adampur.

Forecast valid until the morning of February 2: Rain/snow will occur at many places in Jammu and Kashmir and at a few places in Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal. Rain/thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Haryana, Punjab and west Uttar Pradesh. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of February 2: Partly cloudy sky with possibility of thundry development/light rain in some areas. Mist/shallow fog in the morning. The minimum temperature will be around 9°C.
