De-addiction camp: A free mental health check-up and de-addiction camp will be organised by the Department of Psychiatry, Dayanand Medical College and Hospital, at Gurdwara Guru Singh Sabha, Ranjodh Park, Haibowal Kalan, on Sunday. This was stated by Dr R.L. Narang, project chairman.

Funds sanctioned: The Punjab Government has sanctioned Rs 18.33 crore under the Punjab Nirman Programme for schools, potable drinking water, improvement in hospitals, drinking water facilities and shed for stray animals in the district. Out of this sum Rs 12.38 crore will be spend in rural areas and Rs 5.95 crore in cities, informed today the Deputy Commissioner. Mr H.I.S. Garewal, after holding a meeting with officials here.
