Rainfall: Rain/snow has occurred at most places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and at many places in Uttaranchal. Rain/thundershowers have occurred at a few places in Haryana and Punjab. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of precipitation in cm are: Himachal Pradesh: Dhundhi 7, Patsio 5, Berthin, solangnala and Sujanpurtira 3 each, Bhang, Bhuntar, Kahu, Kasol, Nadaun, Shimla and Sundernagar 2 each and Pandoh, Rampurbushahar and Sunnibhaji 1 each, Jammu and Kashmir: Banihal, Batote and Quazigund 10 each, Katra 7, Bhaderwah and Srinagar 5 each, Jammu 3 and Kupwara 1, Punjab: Patiala 1 and Uttaranchal: Tehri 3 and Dehradun and Mukteshwar 1 each.
Temperature: Past 24 hours change: The minimum temperature fell appreciably in west Rajasthan, rose in west Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere.

This was markedly above normal in Haryana and west Uttar Pradesh, appreciably above normal in Punjab, east Rajasthan and Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 4.6°C recorded at Bikaner (Rajasthan).
