Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at a few places in east Uttar Pradesh. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm. are: East Uttar Pradesh: Gorakhpur 11 and Varanasi city and Varanasi 1 each.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: The maximu temperatures fell appreciably in east Uttar Pradesh, fell in Haryana and changed a little elsewhere. Departure: They were appreciably below normal in east Uttar Pradesh, below normal in Haryana and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 36.7°C recorded at Barmer (Rajasthan).

Past 24 hours change: The minimum temperatures fell in Haryana, rose in Himachal Pradesh and west Uttar Pradesh and changed a little elsewhere. Departure: They were appreciably below normal in Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab, above normal in Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 12.5°C recorded at Amritsar and Ludhiana (Punjab).
