Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at many places in east Rajasthan and Uttaranchal, at a few places in Himachal Pradesh, west Rajasthan and east Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir and west Uttar Pradesh. Weather was mainly dry in Punjab. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm are: Chandigarh 4, Haryana: Ambala and Jagadhari 1 each, Himachal Pradesh: Bharwain and Solangnala 4 each, Dhundi 3 and Berthin 1, East Rajasthan: Kotda 9, Sirohi 5, Devgarh, Jhadol, Pindwara, Shamugarh and Tatgarh 4 each, Gounda, Karera, Nathdwara and Rajsamand 3 each, Badnor, Bhilwara, Bhopalsagar, Jahazpur, Mavli, Papoli and Shevganj 2 each and Arnod, Amet, Mount Abu and Raipur 1 each, West Rajasthan: Desuri 3, Chotan and Pali 2 each and Sadwa 1, East Uttar Pradesh: Basti 5, Chhatnag 4, Birdghat, Ghazipur and Mukhlishpur 3 each, Ayodhya and Bansi 2 each and Balrampur, Gonda, Gorakhpur, Kakrahi and Regoli 1 each, and Uttaranchal: Kalagarh 8, Uttarkashi 7, Banbasa 3 and Dehradun, Haridwar, Mukteshwar, Rishikesh and Rudraprayag 1 each.

Forecast valid until the morning of August 6: Rain/thundershowers will occur at many places in Himachal Pradesh, east Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and at a few places in the rest of the region.
