Monsoon has been active in Uttaranchal.

Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at most places in Uttaranchal, at many places in Punjab, at a few places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and east Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in west Uttar Pradesh. Weather was dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm are: Haryana: Naraingarh 8, Chhachhrauli 4, Ambala 2 and Jagadhari and Kalka 1 each, Himachal Pradesh: Paonta 4, Khairi 3 and Pandoh and Sujanpurtira 2 each, Jammu and Kashmir: Basoli 3, Quazigund 2 and Bhoond 1, Punjab: Ropar 4, Ajnala, Amritsar and Madhopur 3 each and Balachaur 1, East Uttar Pradesh: Dalmau, Lucknow and Varanasi AP each and Ballia, Bahraich and Chhatnag 1 each, Uttaranchal: Hardwar 14, Uttarkashi 9, Mukteshwar and Pantnagar 5 each, Kalagarh 4, Rudraprayag 3, Rishikesh 2 and Haripur and Srinagar 1 each.

Forecast valid until the morning of July 23: Rain/thundershowers will occur at many places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu division of Jammu and Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, at a few places in Haryana, Kashmir division of Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab and at isolated places in Rajasthan.
