Samrala, July 13
A meeting of the Vishal Dangal Committee here was held at Durga Mandir under the presidentship of Mr Tarlochan Singh Kang in connection with the August 13 wrestlers’ meet. Mr Yash Pal Sharma, a boxer of International fame and press secretary of the committee, said wrestlers under 35 year of age would be eligible to take part in the competitions. Preparations were being made on a gigantic scale to make the meet a success.

International kabaddi player Dharamjit Singh (Dhanna), Dr Ramesh of Mansooran and Prof Hamdardvir would be honoured by the committee for their services in their respective field.

Among others Nirmal Kang, Sikandar Singh, Darshan Dhillon, Bhupinder Billa, Nachhattar Singh Kang, Jagdish Bholla, Sangat Manki and Jailla Bijlipuria took part in the meeting.
