Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Himachal Pradesh, at many places in Jammu and Kashmir, east Rajasthan and Uttaranchal, at a few places in Haryana, Punjab, west Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in east Uttar Pradesh. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm. are: Haryana: Guhla 5, Hisar 3 and Karnal 1, Himachal Pradesh: Bhang, Dhundhi, Kasol, Solangnala, Shimla and Sundernagar 3 each, Nagrotasurian and Sunihaji 2 each, and Rampurushahar 1 each, Jammu and Kashmir: Katra 2 and Banihal and Jammu 1 each, Punjab: Muktsar 7 and Amritsar 6, east Rajasthan: Bagidora 11, Dungarpur 9, Dholpur 7, Bassi 5, Bhadesar, Gyangarh, Kushalgarh, Raipur and Sablau 4 each, Aspur, Beavwar, Bhim, Merta, Nainwa, Nathdwara and Pipalda 3 each, Danpur, Jhalawar, Khivensar, Ladpura, Ramganjmandi and Tatgarh 2 each and Ajmer, Asind, Bayana, Chittorgarh and Thanagaji 1 each, west Rajasthan: Bhadra 6, Dungargarh 5, Hanumangarh 3 Nahar 2 and Raipur and Sri Ganganagar 1 each, east Uttar Pradesh: Lucknow 4, Bhinga 2 and Raebareilly 1, west Uttar Pradesh: Hindan 2 and Ankinghat and Dabri 1 each and Uttaranchal: Tehri 3, Banbasa 2 and Mukteswar, Pantnagar, Rudraprayag, Srinagar and Uttarkashi 1 each. The maximum temperatures rose in east Rajasthan, fell in east Uttar Pradesh and changed a little elsewhere. Departure: They were above normal in Jammu and Kashmir, markedly below normal in Haryana, Punjab and west Uttar Pradesh, appreciably below normal in east Rajasthan, below normal in Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region.
