Summer camp: A month-long Summer Vocational education camp-2005, organised at Government Secondary School, Malu Nangal, near here, with the collaboration of Maharaja Dalip Singh Trust, will conclude on June 12. Dr Balwant Singh Dhillon, head, Guru Nanak Studies, Guru Nanak Dev University, would deliver a lecture on the contribution of Maharaja Dalip Singh and Thakur Singh Sandhawalia in the freedom struggle. An exhibition would also be
held.

LAUNCHED: Nirula’s Corner house on Tuesday launched its ‘unlimited vegetarian buffet’ at its Sarabha Nagar outlet here. Mr Jasdeep Singh Kohli, assistant manager, marketing, said the lunch buffet would be offered seven days a week. On company’s expansion plans, Mr Kohli said it would soon begin the process of opening outlets at Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) petrol stations soon. Nirula’s recently entered into a tie-up with IOC regarding this.

TRAIN HALT: The Malwa Express should halt at Phagwara railway station. A memorandum in this regard was given to the Lok Sabha Deputy Speaker, Mr Charanjit Singh Atwal, here on Monday, by a delegation led by Mr Prabhu Sharan Walia. The delegation also demanded resumption of work on the overbridge at Satnampura railway crossing. Mr Atwal distributed cheques under the MPLAD Fund to various beneficiaries at a function at Prime Resort here.

TUBEWELLS: Mr Atma Singh Gill, Member of Parliament from Sirsa, on Tuesday announced installation of three submersible tubewells in the town for improving the supply of potable water. The tubewells would be installed at Thakar Basti, Shakti Nagar and Bighar Road. The cost of these projects would be met from the MP Local Area Development Fund.Rewari
COMPLAINT CELLS: The secondary education wing of Haryana has set up e-mail complaints redress cells both in the Directorate, Secondary Education, at Chandigarh and in the office of the District Education Officer here to facilitate teachers and various teachers’ associations to e-mail their grievances for expeditious redress. The Deputy Commissioner, Mr Mahender Kumar, said here on Monday. The Directorate-level complaints could now be e-mailed to
