Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at many places in Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm are: Jammu and Kashmir: Pahalgam 2; and Uttaranchal: Pantnagar 1.

Temperature: Past 24 hours change: The maximum temperatures changed a little. Departure: This was appreciably below normal in Jammu and Kashmir and normal in the rest of the region. The highest maximum temperature in the region was 44.7°C recorded at Jhansi (Uttar Pradesh).

Forecast valid until the morning of May 26: Rain/thundershowers will occur at many places in Himachal Pradesh and at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal. Isolated dust storm/thunderstorm is likely in Haryana, east Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.
