Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh. Weather was dry in the rest of the region.

Temperature: Past 24 hours change: The maximum temperatures changed little. Departure: This was appreciably above normal in Uttaranchal, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, east Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The highest maximum temperature in the region was 42.5°C recorded at Dholpur (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of April 18: Rain/thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of April 18: Mainly clear sky. The maximum temperature will be around 39°C.
