Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at many places in Jammu and Kashmir and at a few places in Himachal Pradesh. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm are: Himachal Pradesh: Solang Nala 3, Bhang 2 and Dhundi 1 and Jammu and Kashmir: Kupwara 1.

Past 24 hours change: The maximum temperatures fell appreciably in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and west Rajasthan, fell in Uttaranchal and changed little elsewhere.
Departure:
They were appreciably above normal in Haryana, Punjab, east Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh, appreciably below normal in Himachal Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The highest maximum temperature in the region was 42.5°C recorded at New Delhi (Palam).
