Past 24 hours change: The maximum temperatures rose appreciably in Jammu and Kashmir, rose in Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, east Rajasthan, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and changed little elsewhere.
Departure:
They were above normal in Jammu and Kashmir, east Rajasthan and Uttaranchal, appreciably below normal in Punjab and normal in the rest of the region. The highest maximum temperature in the region was 38.4°C recorded at Kota (Rajasthan).
Past 24 hours change:
The minimum temperatures rose in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, east Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere. Departure: they were above normal in east Rajasthan and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest minimum temperature in the plains was 12.6°C recorded at Amritsar (Punjab).
Forecast valid until the morning of March 29:
Rain/thundershowers will occur at many places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir, at a few places in Haryana, Punjab and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in west Uttar Pradesh. Isolated duststorm/thunderstorm is likely in west Rajasthan. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Partly cloudy sky with possibility of thundry development/light rain accompanied with squall in some areas. The maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 33°C, and 19°C respectively.
