The Archaeoloical Survey of India has approved to the proposal of structural repair of Gobindgarh Fort. The proposal was made by Mr Sukhminder Singh
Chahal, NRI hailing from this town. The monument, situated in the heart of the
town, has been carying for repair since the past several years.
Mr Sukhminder Singh Chahal, NRI, along with district officials, examines a big hole on the fort premises which is suspected to be an opening of a tunnel linking Gobindgarh Fort with another fort situated at a far away distance.

Tears of joy washed away 45-year-old Gian Kaur’s agony of 18-month separation from her son as Nahar Singh (20), who had been in a Pakistani jail, returned to his house and to freedom this morning.

parents had made all arrangements to receive him.

Advocates competent to audit accounts, says association

Resentment prevailed among the members of the Taxation Bar Association here against the proposed Punjab Value Added Tax Act.
It is being implemented from April 1, 2005 in which only Chartered Accountants
