Rain/snow has occurred at a few places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of precipitation in cms. are: Himachal Pradesh: Dhundhi 5 and Bhang 4.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures rose in east Rajasthan and changed little elsewhere.

Departures: They were appreciably above normal in Himachal Pradesh and Rajasthan, above normal in Haryana, east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest minimum temperature in the plains was 8.1°C recorded at Pilani (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of March 2: Rain/snow will occur at many places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and at a few places in Uttaranchal. Rain/thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of March 2: Partly cloudy sky with possibility of thundry development/light rain in some areas. The Maximum and Minimum temperatures will be around 26°C and 12°C respectively.

Farmers weather bulletin for Delhi forecast valid until the morning of March 2: Light rain is likely at a few places.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: No large change.
