Rain/thundershowers have occurred at isolated places in Punjab. Weather was dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of precipitation in cms are: Himachal Pradesh: Bhuntar 2, Jammu and Kashmir: Banihal 3 and Punjab: Ludhiana 1.

Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures rose in east Rajasthan and east Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere.

They were markedly above normal in Haryana, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh, above normal in Punjab and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 6.6°C recorded at Amritsar (Punjab).
