Rainfall: Rain/snow has occurred at most places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal. Rain/thundershowers have occurred at most places in Haryana, Punjab and west Uttar Pradesh, at many places in east Uttar Pradesh, at a few places in west Rajasthan and at isolated places in east Rajasthan. The chief amounts of precipitation In cms. are: Haryana: Hisar 4, Naraingarh, New Delhi (Safdarjung) and Rewari 3 each, Ambala, Ayanagar, Delhi Ridge and New Delhi (Palam) 2 each and Chandigarh, Chhachhrauli, Jind, Karnal and Rohtak 1 each, Himachal Pradesh: Bhuntar, Solan 4 each, Sundernagar 3, Nahan, Pandoh and Shimla 2 each, Paonta 1, Jammu and Kashmir: 7 Punjab: Ropar 3, Amritsar and Batala 1 each.

Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures rose in east Rajasthan and changed little elsewhere.
Departures:
They were markedly above normal in east Rajasthan, appreciably above normal in Haryana, Punjab, west Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 7.6°C recorded at Amritsar (Punjab).
