Rainfall: Rain/snow has occurred at most places in Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh. Rain/thundershowers have occurred at most places in Haryana, at a few places in Punjab and west Rajasthan and at isolated places in east Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. the chief amounts of precipitation. In cms are: Haryana: Hisar 2 and Ayanagar, Karnal and New Delhi (Palam) 1 each, Jammu and Kashmir: Kupwara 2, East Rajasthan: Pilani 1 and West Rajasthan: Churu 2. Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures rose appreciably in west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, rose in Haryana and changed little elsewhere.

Departures: They were appreciably above normal in Rajasthan, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, above normal in Haryana and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 7.0°C recorded at Ludhiana (Punjab).

Forecast valid until the morning of February 8: Rain/snow will occur at many places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal. Rain/thundershowers will occur at many places in Haryana and Punjab, at a few places in East Rajasthan and West Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in the rest of the region. Isolated hailstorm is likely in Haryana, Punjab and west Uttar Pradesh. Heavy rainfall warning: Isolated heavy rain/snow is likely in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal during the next 48 hours.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of February 8: Generally cloudy sky with light rain/thundershowers in some areas. Mist/fog in the morning. Minimum temperature will be around 10°C.
